Review: I opted for 2 patties. The patties were the definition of smashpatties, thin with crispy, lacy edges. There was a thick slice of American cheese. I enjoyed the shredded lettuce and burger sauce. The bun looked plain, but it was actually more dense than I expected. This was very good. Rating: 8.6/10

Pearson Street Smashburgers and Melts – Poutine
Review: This featured hand-cut skin-on fries that were nicely cooked. There was a good amount of cheese curds. The gravy was nicely salty and of a good consistency Rating: 8.4/10
Pachino Pizza and Grill – Pizza
Review: The crust was very soft and of medium thickness. The sauce was light in flavour. There was a generous amount of cheese. The pepperoni was a little thicker than expected which gave the pizza a little pop of spiciness/flavour. Overall, I feel like the pizza would have benefitted from a couple extra minutes in …
Gaga Patates – Poutine
Review: The fries were real hand-cut fries. They seemed to be a little smaller than standard. They were well done, but not crispy. The doneness seemed to bring the sweetness out of the potatoes. There was a decent amount of cheese curds. The gravy was of a thicker consistency with rich beef flavour. Rating: 8.4/10
Gaga Patates – Burger
Review: The patty was about 1/4 lb, cooked well-done on the flat top. It was topped with a slice of processed cheese. I really enjoyed the combination of the grilled onions and iceberg lettuce. It was all on a plain bun that was lightly toasted. Rating: 6.5/10
Le Moulin de Provence – Pizza
Review: This is a bakery pizza. I tried it cold before heating it up. I didn’t love the choice of crust. It was like a dense bun rather than a typical pizza crust or something more like focaccia which can also work. It was pretty greasy. The rest of the pizza was stronger. It needed …
Poutinerie La Trappe – Burger
Review: The patty was fairly large, probably in the 5-6oz range. It was cooked to well done, but had no outer crust. It was very soft. It was topped with a generous amount of roquette cheese. I really enjoyed the crispy onions, the aioli and the pretzel bun. I didn’t love the greens. This burger …
Poutinerie La Trappe – Poutine
Review: This featured real hand-cut fries. They were topped with a lighter gravy (seemed more like a chicken base than beef base). As you’d expect from a cheese factory, there were plenty of curds and they were very fresh. Rating: 8.2/10
Big Rig – Pizza
Review: This was identified as “Montreal-Style” which I’d never heard of, but apparently it means, at least in part, that the crust should thick, but not dense and that the sauce should be a little sweet. In that respect, the description was quite accurate, especially the crust that looked like it was going to be …
Friterie 1151 – Burger
Review: The patty was relatively small and cooked well done. It had a slice of processed cheese. The veggies were all decent. I liked that the sesame bun was toasted inside and out. Rating: 6.4/10
