This bakery pizza a thick crust of what I thought it was sourdough, though it might have been focaccia. There wasn’t a ton of cheese. The pepperoni was quite mild. There were very small bits of onion and red bell pepper that added a nice sweetness to the slice. Ultimately, though, it was all about the crust.
The fries were standard fresh-cut fries, cooked nicely. The gravy, which was layered, was a pretty standard beef gravy, though lighter than I’d hoped. It definitely could have used more cheese curds.
The patty was cooked well done. It was a little over-seasoned, especially with pepper. There was something a little off-putting about it. It was topped with a small amount of processed cheese. I enjoyed the grilled onions and the vegetables, though there was too much lettuce. The bun was crusty and nicely toasted.
This poutine featured real hand-cut fries that were quite crispy. The gravy tasted like a combination of chicken and beef gravy. There was a fair amount of cheese curds.
The burger came with 2 thin (not quite smash) patties that had a crispy exterior while being soft inside. They were topped with processed cheese. The grilled onions really helped this burger along. The only weaker part of the burger was a relatively boring bun, but it was at least well toasted.
This came with what appeared to be McCain Superfries, which are just not my thing. The gravy was actually quite good. It could have used more cheese curds.
The burger came with a 1/2 lb patty with a strong grill flavour. It was topped with a decent amount of cheddar. I enjoyed the texture provided by the back bacon. The bun was a little dense, but well toasted. I think this burger, more than most, due to its large patty, would have really benefitted from iceberg lettuce instead of the leaf lettuce it came with.
The crust was relatively thin and quite crispy with some char on the outside edge. There was a generous amount of cheese. This was essentially their meat lover pizza. The best meat was the pepperoni, which was cut slightly thicker than expected and really popped with flavour. It was followed closely by the large pieces of meatballs. Both the sausage and bacon were added generously as crumbles, which made the pizza very salty. The sauce was a little bland, though it did have a lingering oregano note. With all of the saltiness in the meats and the cheese, the pizza needed more acidity or even sweetness from the sauce (or from a vegetable). Still, this was a pretty good quality pizza overall.
The patty was about 1/4 lb. It had a little bit of a crust on the outside but was soft in the centre. There was a good amount of processed cheddar on top of the patty. The vegetables were ok. The bun was not particularly special, but it was toasted absolutely perfectly, so much so that it was the highlight of the burger.
The poutine featured slightly larger than normal, hand-cut with skin-on fries. They had really nice texture that held up to the other elements. There was a very generous amount of cheese curds and the gravy was a pretty standard, quality brown gravy with a really mild, pleasant aftertaste that almost gave me a coffee note.
