Maxi Frite – Burger

Review:

The burger came with a very compact patty cooked well done that was covered by a slice of processed cheddar. The vegetables were pretty fresh. There was a little too much bun in relation to the size of the patty, but I thought the bun was of better quality than I would have expected from a chip truck/stand type of restaurant.

Maison Publique Portage Orchard – Burger

Review:

The patty was thin and packed very densely. It was cooked well done. Swiss cheese was a nice addition. Spicy mayo was a really nice option. Most of the vegetables were fine, but the biggest issue I had with this burger was that it had leaf lettuce that became extremely soggy (I got it delivered, which probably contributed to it, but this was significant). The bun was a little flimsy, but it managed to mostly hold up.

Maison Publique Portage Orchard – Poutine

Review:

The fries were smaller than a standard cut but not quite julienne. They could have used more time in the fryer as I did get a few that were a little raw. There were a lot of cheese curds. The gravy had some BBQ elements, which I tend to like, but this one was definitely a little too thin. This could have been really good if technique would have been improved.
