Review: This featured real hand-cut fries. They were topped with a lighter gravy (seemed more like a chicken base than beef base). As you’d expect from a cheese factory, there were plenty of curds and they were very fresh. Rating: 8.2/10

Big Rig – Pizza
Review: This was identified as “Montreal-Style” which I’d never heard of, but apparently it means, at least in part, that the crust should thick, but not dense and that the sauce should be a little sweet. In that respect, the description was quite accurate, especially the crust that looked like it was going to be …
Smash Daddy – Burger
Review: This had 2 thin patties with a nice crust. There was a generous amount of cheese. The burger sauce was solid. The pickles were among the best I’ve ever had. The bun held up just enough. The meat to cheese to bun ratio was very good. Rating: 8.1/10
Friterie 1151 – Burger
Review: The patty was relatively small and cooked well done. It had a slice of processed cheese. The veggies were all decent. I liked that the sesame bun was toasted inside and out. Rating: 6.4/10
Friterie 1151 – Poutine
Review: The fries were real standard-cut fries. The gravy looked like a standard brown gravy, but tasted like it had some Cajun spice in it, which I didn’t love, but didn’t really hate either. The standout element was the cheese curds. This poutine holds the title of cheesiest poutine to date. Rating: 7.5/10
New Orleans Pizza – Pizza
Review: This had a surprisingly crispy crust. The sauce was quite good with a hint of sweetness. The pepperoni was a touch spicy and the cheese had a good amount of salt. The only real negative was that it was quite greasy. Rating: 7.4/10
Frank & Mos – Burger
Review: The patty was about 1/4 lb, with a crispy crust. It was covered by a slice of processed cheese. The veggies were fresh and there was a generous amount of them. It seemed to have whipped dressing rather than mayo, which I didn’t mind at all. The bun was plain. Rating: 6.8/10
Frank & Mos – Poutine
Review: The fries appeared to be a hair bigger than a standard cut. They were really nicely crispy. The gravy was thick, but strangely wasn’t very strong. The cheese curds were fresh, and plentiful. Rating: 7.1/10
Houston Avenue Bar & Grill – Burger
Review: This had double smash patties that were nicely crispy. They were topped with good quality cheddar and bacon. The burger sauce was pretty good. The potato bun was well toasted. Rating: 7.8/10
Smoque Shack – Burger
Review: This was labeled as a smashburger, but the meat was a little thick to be considered a smash patty. It was topped with a slice of processed cheddar. The veggies were ok. The bun was nice but could have been toasted more. Interestingly, I thought the pickles were the best part of the burger. …
